Widget Style Improvements

Need to improve widget esthetics, useful visible information and usability. Pending some mockups and feedback from users in beta test

I'm happy with widget behavior for a SIGGRAPH demo as of commit 777a066842 with future iterations of improvement before release or even after user feedback.

Sounds good! I've been thinking through some widget designs and will work to put some proposals together in the next couple weeks.

Just updating this for the record. @patmo141 and I have agreed we'd like to continue improving the athestics of the widget. The new design is in, and is an improvement. But more can be done to make it smooth and clean looking. This will be an ongoing thing.
