I've read the proposal twice now. Is this just a name change (CourseBeginDate -> CourseSectionBeginDate)? I would seem not to be "Proposed Element Name: NA."

What is changing in the Domain Entity Schema is completely unclear.

@4pins The attached proposal details the changes which is just a DES change. Adding Course Begin and End Date to K12>Course Section. The use case started out as an issue suggesting a change to the name, but the proposal is the solution which is just adding Course Begin and End date to K12>Course Section.

@jackie-hughes Thank you for clarifying. All good now!

Retracting this proposal. Proposing initial use case to change Course Begin and Course End Date to Course Section Begin/End Date

jackie-hughes avatar Dec 13 '23 17:12 jackie-hughes

After conversation with Mississippi Department of Education, we will keep the current definition of Course Begin and Course End Date but change the name to Course Section Begin/End Date. Proposing adding 2 new elements Course Begin and End Dates.

Recommendation from the OSC Monthly Meeting - Use the name "Course Offering Begin Date" and "Course Offering End Date" but still do change the existing elements "Course Begin Date"/"Course End Date" to include the word "Section" - remove them from the "Course" DES location and have them in the Course Section location(s) only.
