Use Case Title Add new elements related to student accommodations

Target Date Needed ASAP

Use Case Description When collecting data on a student’s accommodations for testing or instruction, NCDPI collects data on the date the accommodation started and the date the accommodation is set to end or has ended. The CEDS model currently uses the record start and end date to determine the date an accommodation began or ended. For NC’s purposes the record start and end data does not accurately capture the date the accommodation began and ended or is set to end as intended. In many cases, the accommodation began years prior and is set to end in a future year.

Additionally, the grade level associated with an accommodation is collected along with a field to capture clarifying details about the accommodation.

The current CEDS model does not have these four elements. NCDPI would like to bring these four elements to the CEDS community for their inclusion into the model.
