Michigan is requesting the addition of program/service details when follow-up is provided to a student after disciplinary action.
Proposed Option Set If needed, provide existing and proposed new options See Attached Doc
Use Case Background Provide information related to why these changes/additions are needed.
Follow-up services are required for special education students when they are removed from the IEP identified placement for disciplinary action. A student may receive one or multiple services and these may change if the incident requires more than one consequence.
GAP Analysis comment: Nathan 11/8/2021: CEDS Gap. 1/4/22: We think there is community value for this element (along with Follow-up Name) and this should be a new CEDS element.
Michigan has modeled the Follow-up Code and Follow-up Name with Nathan.
