Use Case Title Add "Status Start Date" and "Status End Date" to the English Learner folder under the K12 domain.

Use Case Description Element Name: Status Start Date Element Definition: The year, month and day that a status became applicable to an individual.

Element Name: Status End Date Element Definition: The last year, month and day when a status applied to an individual.

Use Case Background These elements will further define the student’s status as an English Learner. This change will ensure consistency with other elements in CEDS, such as Homeless, Immigrant, and Economically Disadvantaged, which use “Status Start Date” and “Status End Date” to determine the dates around a particular status for the student. Additionally, this change supports the way dates are applied in the IDS.
