Send the source request directly to the author when the copy editor is assigned
I would like to consult you about the possibility of changing a standard proceeding that could make our editorial process more efficient. When a technical editor is assigned to an article, would it be possible for the system to automatically send the authors of the corresponding article an email requesting their source files?
Ideally an overleaf type system, which we could share with the author, would be really good and would make our copy-editing process more efficient and our exchanges with the author clearer.
