Convert Leading Spaces to Tabs
We decided to standardize on tabs for indentation. This has the advantage that if Person A likes 2 spaces for indentation, and person B likes 4, and Person C prefers K&R style with 5 spaces, they can set tabs to be their preferred number and things look how they like it. It also means we won't have a complete mess with a mix of styles, sometimes within the same file, sometimes unintentionally.
Stack Overflow suggests we can do that this way: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33974681/how-can-i-convert-tabs-to-spaces-and-vice-versa-in-an-existing-file
I suggest we do this early on Carthage before there are any big things that will cause conflicts. If there are a couple small things it's probably okay to rebase them, but we don't want any mega merges.
We could also do this in parts, e.g. if QueryCiv3 doesn't have any updates pending, we can knock out that section and wait for others to get idle before doing them.
It might also be a good idea to add a Git hook or a style guide program to notify when we accidentally don't follow this. That could happen when switching IDEs, or when someone new joins.
I have come around to the idea of "tabs for indentation; spaces for alignment"
