May be worth using https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/32510 if and when it's merged.

If somehow they don't merge my commit, you can make use of https://codepen.io/thednp/pen/yLVzZzW it's superior to minicolors.

Thanks. I'll most likely use it whether it's merged or not, as this is the sort of solution I was looking for but couldn't find :)
