The pattern editor needs to better show what values can be entered

Right now we use the status bar on the bottom of the window to show what the value is about and what the value translates to (pretty print e.g. '2F' to '261 Hz'). This is not very discoverable, mainly due to distance.

As of commit 98ed85d626a2c49e5557b73241c639fbc9e9af1c we'll also show wave names in the status bar.

Commit 8883f0b97c49aa267510c5b5a2a968fa4681a019 adds tooltips to the widget to tackle the distance issue.
