Small UI Tweaks
For starters; thanks for this great product. It works like a charm! So functionally, it's all good. There are just a few tweaks that would make it even more streamlined to use, for me at least, but they're not at all pressing.
I have 2FAuth configured to return to the main screen after clicking (and copying) a OTP, because I wouldn't need it again. However, when I've used the search bar, it returns to the search result. But since this is the one I just used, I probably won't need that specific provider again. So a toggle clear search results after copying OTP would be great.
Second, I have a few groups configured; personal, work, etc. The 'personal' group is the one I use most. So after copying a OTP from the work group, I'd love to have a toggle return to selected group after copying OTP with a dropdown to select a group, in this case the personal one. That would save me a few more clicks.
Bottomline is that with these modifications, I can always have 2FAuth go to the same starting point, making it predictable and easy to work with instead of sometimes first having to return there.
Hope this makes a bit of sense. Thanks again ❤️
Hi @SamKr, thx for your feedback. Your suggestions are great, I'm sure this can enhance the everyday use. Added to backlog!
@SamKr Regarding point 2, is a new group selector really necessary? I mean, there is already the Default group preference, I could simply add a new pref Return to default group after copy. What would be the benefit of having another group selector?
Good point, that's even neater - forgot about the default group option.
Hi @Bubka. It looks like 2FAuth doesn't always store that it returned to the default group. When I go to another group, select an account and click on the code - it goes back to the default group, as intended. However, if I reload the page, it goes back the the previous group. This has been bugging me a bit for the past months, because I couldn't exactly put my finger on it (I thought that maybe I had forgotten to actually click the code) but this looks to be the underlying issue.
It's not that pressing, but if you have some spare time, maybe you could take a look at it?
Thanks for the great updates, I really enjoy using your product on a daily basis - saved me so much time from messing with my smartphone every time I need a code ❤️
