6.6.2 - user settings (search engines) are being overwritten by defaults

What happened?

This happening is wrong on so many levels! The user settings are supposed to always take priority over any defaults in the browser! What's worse - restoring my entire profile from a backup doesn't help at ALL, my settings are still being overwritten by default. Needless to say how much I "like" my settings being overwritten and forcing me to use the search engines you've decided that are worthy...

Waterox (Linux) version is 6.6.2. IDK if this problem is reproducible on Firefox bc I stopped using that browser.

6.6 is so unstable, that I've experienced config broken issues at least 3 times...

Everything broke twice for me, once on upgrade to 6.6.2, then to 6.6.3. Already anxious about 6.6.4.
