antutu html5 SVG test not conform

Open RJVB opened this issue 8 months ago • 6 comments

What happened?

Running Antutu's HTML5 test (https://antutu.com/html5), Waterfox fails to render 2 of the 3 images in the SVG test (2 two upper ones).

This is a potential concern (what other SVG images fail to render on production sites?) and also makes it impossible to compare the benchmark result with other browsers.

Reproducible?

  • [x] I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.

G6

What platform are you seeing the problem on?

i suggest not testing on half broken sites, but this is not a waterfox issue as it affects firefox in general.

Meaning your checking of the "I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox." is a lie.

No, it doesn't affect Firefox. It used to, but not anymore since a number of releases.

There's an issue with the presentation of the comparative scores which affects Firefox too, but that one is of no consequence.

I just confirmed that yes it does ffs.

You compare to ESR 128, not 137 mainline.

As I said, it's been like that for a few major versions. Haven't tried the stable releases but see no reason to suspect that those would fail to render this test properly.

NB: that's with a "stock" profile I only use for testing.

Did I stutter?

No, but when you say

on a waterfox ticket, I interpret that as "you compare this product to ESR 128".

Waterfox doesn't contain any backported bug fixes at all that aren't also in the upstream code?
