GPG key error on Open Build Service repo

Open lproven opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

What happened?

I can't update on Ubuntu 22.04.

The following signatures were invalid: EXPKEYSIG 5E62D791625A271E home:hawkeye116477 OBS Project <home:[email protected]>

I have removed and re-added the repo, multiple times, but it won't accept the key.

Reproducible?

  • [ ] I have tested this on Firefox.

You should rather report that on https://github.com/hawkeye116477/waterfox-deb-rpm-arch-AppImage .

Anyway, re-adding repo won't help, you just need to remove key, download and add it again. Unfortunately I can't made it that never expires and date won't magically change itself, so it's required to download it again from time to time.

OK. Noted.

For anyone else's benefit:

I have consulted multiple sources on StackExchange and elsewhere on how to fix this error. Nobody else suggested deleting the key first. The implication is that downloading a fresh key overwrites the old one. I don't know how to delete a key. I will look that up first, then see if I can.

How do I fix this? I'm a bit of a noob to this, how would I fix this?

Do I just re-download Waterfox or do we have a solution now? Where should I look to for re-download?
