G4: with status bar enabled in "modern dynamic" theme, URLs are no longer shown on hover

What happened?

I just updated to G4.1.1.1 (coming from G3). I'm using the "modern dynamic" theme. First I wondered why URLs were no longer shown when hovering links, until I found out this only happens with the "modern dynamic" theme (seems to work fine with the others). As a work-around, I've disabled the statusbar, and URLs are shown properly (where the status bar would normally have been).

The very same theme has the statusbar completely blank btw – no zoom, screenshot etc. showing there (while those show fine in the other themes). This makes me assume it must be something specific to the theme itself – opacity and z-index coming to mind (maybe the URL is shown "beneath" the status bar and thus remains invisible).

I have not verified this with Firefox, but made sure it's not my setup of addons and modifications by verifying it in a "blank" profile.

Thanks @adamp01! Just as a note: I saw something related in the WF release notes that something is open with the status bar. Still, it works with other themes I tested, just not with this one.

This began happening to me after the most recent update (to G6.0.3), although perhaps slightly differently.

On the first hover, most links do not show the URL in the lower left although this is not 100% consistent - some do show on the first hover, but most do not. After moving the mouse away then over a link again, the URL does appear somewhere in the rough range of the 2nd to 5th try.

It does not appear theme-related. I'm not using "modern dynamic", but rather the "Dark 1.2" theme. I also tested with Alpenglow 1.4 which has the same issue.

Edit to add that I did test this in Firefox & the issue is not present.

I have the same issue as AFlowOfCode. I think it is probably different from the original issue. I can very easily reproduce - e.g. on a page of Google search results some links show the url on hover on first try, others don't
