@Ikillmyeros Can you provide some more details on the platform you are attempting to run NXBT on (e.g. Virtualbox on Windows or Raspberry Pi OS on a Raspberry Pi)? Additionally, what is the output for bluetoothctl and hciconfig hci0?

@monkeybee11 As far as I can see, Bluetooth is not supported in WSL yet (see here for more info). It seems there is a path to get this working by recompiling the kernel, however, this is out of scope for this project. I recommend reaching out for WSL support in their respective repository or in the issue linked above. Otherwise, please use Virtualbox for NXBT on Windows.

Sorry for the delay in my reply @Ikillmyeros. I'm going to guess that you're attempting to use the 8BitDo Wireless USB Adapter, right? I've had some more time to look into this and, unfortunately, I believe your 8BitDo adapter will not work with NXBT.

Your adapter is mainly meant for connecting computers with controllers through 8BitDo's software. It's not meant for regular Bluetooth activities on the host PC, as noted in 8BitDo's FAQ (check the last section). To function correctly, NXBT requires conventional Bluetooth support on the adapter.

I recommend you use a regular USB Bluetooth adapter that is capable of connecting with keyboards, mice, headphones, etc. I do most of my Windows testing, for example, with a Plugable USB 2.0 Bluetooth adapter.
