Changing pi camera setting for night and day exposure?

Great piece of Software! It's working perfect with Synology SurveillanceStation. But how can I change the pi camera setting by daytime or picture analysis, if it's too dark? I've used the front-end ":8081" to change "auto_exposure_bias" for night time to get better video.

Can the change be somehow automated?
