Works with Nest work around
Looks like the Homebridge-Nest plugin was updated to not rely on the works with nest api. Are there any plans to do the same with nest -cam?
Does this plugin use works with nest? i thought they shut that down...i was able to get an access code for the config.json as required by the plugin
that said it adds the camera but it just says "No Response" and won't pull up the video feed.
@dhniels this plugin works well. I would recheck your FFmpeg plugin and then fire it up again. Did you get your token by plugging in the commands on the first page? Once you have that token you are as good as gold. I do know from personal experience that the camera is finicky with FFmpeg. Uninstall FFmpeg and reinstall and you should be good granted you have your token.
@black01gt I would too love to see these 2 great plugins merged somehow! I recently reconfigured with the new updates on the nest plugin and it works better than ever. All you need is a user and password!
@rob74lee i do have a token. i tried removing ffmpeg and re-adding it from a different apt repo which installed ffmpeg v4 instead of v3, but im still getting the same black screen and message "this camera is not responding" in the Home app.
agreed, would love to see a merge or confirmation this plugin will work in the new google nest world.
