Bing Search Error: Entering Query Won't Launch Bing App

When setting Bing as the default search engine, trying to type a query, then hitting enter/return on the keyboard, basically returns a null input. In comparison, when entering a query, then hitting the enter key with Google search as default, the enter key will launch the query in the Google app with results. This same attempt with Bing will not launch the Bing app.

Edit: When setting Bing as default, then switching back to Google, hitting enter on the keyboard will no longer open the Google app either. Queries must be executed by hitting the selected quick search app instead of just launching the default that is set. It seems the only way to fix this is by then clearing Sesame app data and being forced to use Google for immediate query execution.

Edit 2: Even trying to execute the query manually through Bing app as an enabled quick search provider will not launch the app with the query.
