Async Task are deprecated in Android 11

AOSP deprecated AsyncTask recently and will be in effect from Android 11. Branch uses Async Task here https://github.com/BranchMetrics/android-branch-deep-linking-attribution/blob/master/Branch-SDK/src/main/java/io/branch/referral/BranchAsyncTask.java

I would also like to see AsyncTask be removed

Hi, please are there any news on this?

As the time goes this puts Branch users at risk of having problems with system updates. We would definitely like to avoid similar case like the ApacheHttpClient in the past.
