Deep link data isn't coming in Android app when app is opened in split-screen mode

I'm using branch.io SDK for deep linking purpose. The deep link data is coming accurately when app is opened normally. But when the app is opened in split-screen mode, data from deep link isn't coming after calling branch.initSession(listener, intent.data, activity).

Although, the activity's intent has proper uri (intent.data) in this case but still data doesn't come in init listener. The way I'm testing is like: on top part my app is opened and in bottom part Gmail app is opened, from which I click on emailed deep-link.
