capitalization and other issues in menus

Open ousia opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

I have seen that menus contain some expressions with wrong capitalization.

Here you have a sample:

dialog

  • Would it be possible that the background color of the displayed menu were almost white or grey as the rest of the screen depending on the theme?

  • PDF is written as Pdf and pdf. PDF is the standard practice and the way the PDF Specification writes it.

  • Similar considerations appy to TeX and friends.

  • Don’t get me wrong, but See PDF should read Display PDF. The user is the one who will see the displayed PDF document.

I can provide a PR myself, but first I would like to know whether you plan to release a new version soon (if enough improvements are included in it).

Right! The easiest way is to edit the translation file https://github.com/Bramas/texiteasy/blob/master/source/translations/texiteasy_en.ts#L1032

I cannot the issue to myself, but I’m in charge for providing the patch.

BTW, the common for of writing Tex is TeX.

And since you write TexitEasy, capitalization rules in English would recommend TeXItEasy (otherwise, “easy” should be written in all lowercase).

Making the replacement myself, do you agree in updating TexitEasy with TeXItEasy? (texiteasy remains as it is.)

Of course, if you agree, remember that I don’t have access to make changes to the website .

I provided the patch, but I would like to confirm the acceptance of replacing TexitEasy with TeXItEasy.
