FPS Issues when running huestacean - Lock 60fps on 90 hz monitor

I've been enjoying huestacean while gaming, but noticed an issue specifically on Rocket League PC - my monitor refresh rate is 90 (monitor 1, where the app is visualizing), but in game everything is locked to 60 and suffers what feels like judder/stutter. After exiting huestacean, the game runs at 90 locked. Tried this a few times.

As an additional side note, I noticed Far Cry 5 froze a couple of times today when also running the 2.6 update, but did not have issues running at a locked lower than monitor refresh rate.

Any more information to go off? OS, video card, driver? G-SYNC or Freesync enabled?

I've got Rocket League open right now and it's steady above 162 FPS and not stuttering, with or without G-SYNC (monitor is 165 Hz)

Windows 10, latest public update available i5 6600k / 16gb 3200 ddr4, 1080ti on 391.35 Main monitor - Predator x34 @ 90hz, Gsync on, 2nd one @ 60hz

RL capped at 88fps

I did have twitch running in monitor two - it's still chopping up a bit but not locked this time, but definitely impacting it a bit. Closed twitch in chrome and its much steadier, not pinning it at 88 though.
