Expose Default Values as User / Code Defined

Default values for colors and the like are currently set up in the nodes inside of the .blend file. This is opaque to git and not able to be changed easily. Having it instead be defined in code, and potentially be a preference that could be changed by the user would be a good change. Discussed in #416
