Expiration time for C.DAT auth token

When I use the auth webpage alternative method of logging in, the auth token in C.DAT only seems to last a few days before expiring, and then I have to generate a new one.. is this normal? It makes the transfer process somewhat inconvenient.. would it be possible to make a token that lasts a week, or a month?

The device should be able to keep the token updated using it's refresh token. If the refresh token expires as well then you'll have to generate a new C.dat

Is there any other way to generate the token for the app? Right know your app isnt approved @Bostwickenator
