Hi, zzxxhhzxh,

this is not currently supported but we will try to add it. I labelled the issue as a feature request.

Hi guys,

Just saw this, and thought I'd mention my answer to this problem here.

I know Boostnote uses markup, so my answer to this was to install and use the Copy Selection as Markdown Firefox Plugin for copying and pasting things that I'll use as notes in Boostnote.

Go ahead and try it, see if it helps.

that works, but it keeps the image as web link. if the web source image lost, note will lost it also. that is not good to keep long time with images.

That is why I save the images separately and use them in the notes.

Another option, in the plugins preferences, you can set it to embed images as a base64 string, which I believe would accomplish what you want. From the description:

Embed imgs (.gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .webp) as base64 text...

But be warned: This can cause you note document file itself to become huge.

Providing an option to convert and paste HTML into markdown sounds good to me. But I'd like to avoid copying images in HTML content to Boost Note app since handling failure from downloading and copying assets should be very tricky.

About the implementation, I think users should be able to choose default behavior from the preferences modal. Also, I think we should implement those options to the context menu of markdown editor. So users can choose other behavior easily.
