[Request] RSS Feed
Hi,
Is RSS feed could be a thing, for "Recent Activity" logs (creation/deletion of pages/books)?
Would be really interesting in order to follow a wiki for public access, and track new pages/books.
Thanks!
there is already a discussion about that in https://github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack/issues/147. At the moment, there is a complete lack of a notification system in bookstack (besides the activity column), that is why there is no RSS feed too.
But because I had also the need for that feature in my team, I hacked a dirty RSS solution which is working fine by now, but has some downsides that should be taken into account: https://github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack/pull/1165
I could also need an RSS feed. Best would be if this could still be filtered for individual shelves
This would be a fantastic feature to have, definitely looking forward to seeing if it's implemented!
Would be very useful to be able to add to rss readers and keep track of different bookstack instances.
Not quite sure how I'd be able to use webhooks for similar functionality for general people who visit the wiki but don't necessarily want a user account.
It'd also be useful for things like github actions that pull RSS info for static pages like "latest posts".
If anyone is in desperate need of RSS, I recently put together a video about hacking in a custom RSS feed:
