With hint fields clicking on them do not reveal them (if you have the edit: in the front – removing this solves the problem) This isn't really a problem because I use the hint hotkey add-on to allow me to view the hint with a chosen hotkey, but it may be an issue for those that wish to be able to click on "Hint" to reveal it AND be able to edit it during review.

The hint field text actually does load for a second ( or less ), but it goes away in the blink of an eye, so it seems like the hint field does "open" for a short moment

Definitely an issue! Ideal behaviour would be for first click to reveal hint, second click to edit.

Another workaround is to enable "Ctrl + Click to edit field" mode in the add-on config. A click will reveal hint field while ctrl + click lets you edit it.
