Videos not sending. NOT BANNED.

Sending messages with bluebubbles works perfectly, except for videos. Regardless of the fact I have private API features enabled, followed steps correctly and everything, videos won't send at all on my vm Mac. I reset and created a brand new vm multiple times to no avail. I have Ethernet connected to reduce Internet lag as well. I attached an image of the blue progress bar when sending videos, which eventually says not delivered. Please help , thank you !

Created a post initially but it was closed, sorry I was out of town without cell connection. IMG_20240712_161033_148 IMG_20240712_161042_257

I'm having the same issue, but only with some videos, even though the containers are the same (*.mp4). The video that just now failed is exactly 6.0 MB. I get the blue status sending bar that never finishes and ultimately ends in a "failed to send". I re-encoded the video a few times to see if iMessage was being finicky about format. If I get anywhere with it, I'll post back.

Update: The video just now finally sent, even though Bluebubbles says it didn't. I can confirm by checking my other devices and the recipient replied to it. The things I did differently were 1.) re-encode the video with video codec libxvid and audio codec aac, and also 2.) Accompany the video attachment with text (i.e. "I've been trying to send this..."). Bluebubbles can't play the video back to me, but it sent.

Followup: Had the same issue with another video. I think it's because iMessage won't send a video that Quicktime on Monterey can't play. The first option I tried above (using ffmpeg to re-encode the video to audio codec aac and video codec libxvid) resulted in a video that successfully sent. I didn't have to add text to the attachment. However, bluebubbles can't play it. Had better luck with a third video encoded with video codec libx264.

So I guess it matters whether the server's OS can make sense of the video, at least where my problem was concerned. And if you want Bluebubbles to also play it, it has to understand the encoding too.

Interesting find. Unfortunately, I'm not sure i can do much about that... Apologies for the late reply
