Zooming on the map on Windows with precision touchpad is broken

When using a touch screen, pinching to zoom on the Find My map works perfectly. But, when attempting to use a scroll wheel, it doesn't work as the usual ctrl + scroll, or shift + scroll do not zoom in. When pinching on the touchpad, the map freaks out and starts zooming into random places where the cursor is not. I'm using the new v1.12.5 (exe from releases page) love being able to see my friends now!

I can't reproduce any issues when using a scroll wheel. Is there anything unique about your environment?

So, I was able to confirm with a mouse that yes using a regular scroll wheel does work. The problem appears to be with Windows devices that use the Windows precision touchpad driver. When scrolling it moves the map like dragging a finger across the touch screen. But then when you go to pinch, it flies the map to the side making it hard to use.

Same issue exists on Chromebook in Crostini

I cannot zoom in with neither the touchpad nor the touchscreen on Chromebook running BB in Crostini.

Workaround: tap and then quickly to the side of where you tapped, drag down or up. Good and fast alternate zoom gesture. Another workaround is to just double tap repeatedly as this also zooms the map.

Clicking and then quickly scrolling also works.
