Color selecting window appears behind main window

When I want to select a color (e.g. or background), the color selecting window appears behind the main window and can be easily missed (Ubuntu 16.04 Work).

I cannot reproduce this either compiling from source or using the AppImage. I remember having seen it before with remotely launched instances, but I don't know under which conditions it happens (the same problem is applicable to any popup window). Are you using the AppImage, a self compiled version or a remotely launched one?

I am using the AppImage directly on my work desktop with Ubuntu 16.04.5

Is this happening sometimes or is it consistent?

On my normal work-linux box this is happening consistently. I never saw the color change box to appear in front of the window. I can show you if you like.
