Minecraft Version

1.18

Immersive Engineering Version

8.1.0-150

How did it happen?

Just updated to 1.18.2 8.1.0-150 yesterday. Was scrolling through my storage in the Tom's Storage viewer and the client crashed with the error:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: blusunrize/immersiveengineering/api/tool/conveyor/ClientConveyors

and the attached crash log.

Hrm, not entirely sure what happened there. Can you try to reproduce this in a test world with just IE, Tom's Storage and JEI installed?

Working on it. Initial pass I can't reproduce it, but I was using a dedicated server (which didn't crash, just the client) and a ton of other mods. I will start adding in mods that are IE add-ons or have explicit IE compatibility and see if I have any luck.

Clarification please: With the full modpack, can you reproduce it in singleplayer?

  • If so, that's good, that means it's not due to multiplayer shenanigans.
  • If not, can you at least reproduce this on the server, or was it a complete one-off?

I setup an SP instance with just IE/Toms/JEI and am unable to reproduce the issue yet. I'm incrementally adding mods into that instance to see if I can trigger anything. The crash happened on a dedicated MP server instance running my pack on Bisect. Specifically, had been typing into the filter box on the Tom's storage crafting terminal when the client blew up, but nothing was logged on the server other than the disconnect and it stayed up and stable.

I have also logged back into the server running the full pack and have been unable to reproduce it there as well. I'm just starting out in the pack and have very few IE items in storage, and ironically the Extracting Conveyor is not one of the items I have. I'm not sure why Tom's terminal would be trying to render something that wasn't in it's connected storage. JEI, yeah, but Tom's doesn't sync the filter fields like RS or AE does.

I'm going to continue to pursue both courses, but seeing as how I'm unable to reproduce it may just be a one-off. The crash log seemed pretty specific to IE though and seeing as how 8.1.0 is a pretty big release I wanted to submit it ASAP.
