[Suggestion] energy/fluid meters and valves

Open FireheartIndustries opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

you know that box outside your house that the power company comes and checks every now and then to figure out how much to charge you? Yeah, that thing. That could be useful.

One for fluids and one for energy to help keep track of where and how much total energy or fuel is being used.

(I'm trying to figure out systems for a server modpack, and keeping track of how much power a player is using would be help when figuring out their "bill" from the power company. A fluid one would help when making a gas station for obvious reasons)

Also, I've suggested this before, but a pipe valve would be useful for toggling fluid transfer, rather than just breaking the pipe or building a whole tank at every location.

I don't think I've ever seen one outside, ours is in the box with the circuit breakers, but I know what you mean. And I agree that it would be a nice addition, even though Zetta Industries already has something like it (that one doesn't really fit with IE's style).

I believe metal barrels do that already, they stop (auto-)outputting when you apply an RS signal.
