🐛 [BUG] - BlissOS bricks itself on Chromebook.

Open GamePlayer-8 opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Description

Good morning,

BlissOS causes problems on HP Chromebook 11A G6 EE where the system thinks of itself as broken SD Card. Pressing the fix feature bricks the EFI partition.

System also couldn't detect the right SD Card slot, unlike other OSes.

Reproduction steps

1. Install BlissOS with grub.
2. Boot up OS
3. See SD Card error notification.
4. Re flashing fails.
5. Reboot
6. System not found.

I confirm the bug with Bliss OS 15 on a Lenovo N20P. This is likely due to the system drive being a partition on mmcblk0. I tried several Coreboot options to make Coreboot simulate a SATA drive, to no avail. So far, this issue prevents from distributing BlissOS on a chromebook, as users will inevitably format their system drive by mistake.
