Facing issue in scanning the Passports and Emirates ID.

Hi Team, We are facing an issue in scanning the passports and emirates IDs of United Arab Emirates in our application for the below below devices.The same passports and IDs when scanned on different devices it is working fine.

iPhone 11 Pro Max. iPhone 11 Pro.

We have reached a lot many complaints from the customers that they are not able to scan the passports and Emirates ID by changing the angles, positions, adjusting the light settings.

We are using blink ID IOS 4.8 version of micro blink library.

Could you please consider this on high priority and provide us resolution as early as possible. Please let us know for any additional information on this.

Hi @phanikumar560,

We have made many improvements in the performance on Emirates ID between v4.8 (released a year ago), and v5.4 (released yesterday). Can you please check if upgrading is an option?

For us, there's no way to backport the improvements to the old version because the new data extraction process is completely changed and built using AI, see here: https://microblink.com/blog/blinkid-v5-goodbye-templates

If you need help with upgrading, please let us know - we can definitely help you with that.

Hi @phanikumar560,

we definitely recommend you test the current release, v5.5. In v5.5, passport scanning is a part of BlinkIDRecognizer (and BlinkID Combined Recognizer) (which now handle all the IDs). And we completely redesigned the technology behind passport scanning. You should see meaningfully improved results.
