possible to bring back classic trends?

Describe the feature twitter's current "whats happening" barely shows actual trends and usually opts to show irrelevant and boring world news. is there any way to bring back the classic trends? image as far as i know, regular trends still exist in the api. third party apps like tweetbot can still access them. for example, here's tweetdeck's trending column: image

Any update on this requirement? I would also like to have the option of other trending topics, and even if I check to show 10, only 5 show up.

It is really hard to implement this since I do not have that "What's happening" thing on any of my accounts, it's only the normal trends for me.

I don't know what you mean by this. Can you try to explain?

This probably does not work with that "What's happening" thing, I don't even know if it has a button to show 10 "trends"
