sync too slow

  • Hi guys, I am in trouble for syncing blocks. I know downloading blocks will be slower and slower.But it is too slow that 7G for 24 hour,430000 blocks for 7 days.I wanna know if it is reasonable.

  • version:bitcoin-abc-0.18.1-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz

  • bandwidth:more than 20M

Sync time depends a lot on your CPU. What are your machine specs?

I can share my experience. It usually depends upon bandwidth & system specs

AWS T2 Large EC2 Instances - Linux / Ubuntu
4 core CPU
16 GB RAM
400 GB SSD
Sync time: 6 - 10 Hrs

or

Windows 10 CPU

4 Core CPU
8 GB RAM
1 TB HDD
Sync time: 2 - 3 Days

or

Mac osX 
4 Core CPU
8 GB RAM
500 GB SDD
Sync time: 1-2 Day

The above mentioned times are average durations that I observed.
