Feature request: auto update

As of now, I have to re-visit the website, download the app, delete and replace previous version. I would like this to be done automatically.

Would the app being available on the App store be a solution? How about homebrew?

not sure if that is the direct solution. Spotify mac client also is a third party package, but it auto updates.
