[Bug]: enabling tiling breaks the DE in fedora 35 wayland

Summary

after enabling tiling and clicking apply the de crashes to a black screen and keeps reseting, this lasts for a while and I'm then thrown onto the log in screen (sometimes it lasts 1 minute sometimes 5) My setup is kind of unusual. i have an asus zenbook, and the touchpad is a screen, which i disabled in kde settings.

Steps to Reproduce

1 go to kde settings > window managing 2 enable tiling 3 DE breaks

Expected behavior

Tiling should occur, but instead it crashes
