What is your current Window Decoration? IIRC, Bismuth's newly shipped Window Decoration has the Title Bar and Border disabled at all times. Switch to the Default Breeze/Oxygen Window Decoration and check the 'No borders around tiled windows' option in the 'Appearance' tab within 'Window Tiling' settings.

I cannot reproduce the problem. The borders automatically re-appear once I set the window to floating.

I found the source of the problem. Its because of "Maximize sole window". If i uncheck this, border works right way :

(for clarity: "No border around tiled windows" is unchecked here)

Also, "No border around tiled windows" works same way. If uncheck - works fine, but with the option there is also no border:

Everything is identical with the default breeze decoration.

I'm running version 3.1.0-1 (on Manjaro KDE), and if I start in any of the tiled layouts, toggling the Monocle layout kills the window decorations. This is the case for Breeze, and every other window decoration I have tried.
