Lost my Money in DFI-Wallet
Hello Team ,
I reinstalled the Dfi wallet on my Windows 10 PC on 27.1.2022 and restored it with the 24-digit pass phrase.
After that, I transferred about $9,000 in various values from my CakeDefi platform to Defichain.
With these values, I have liquidity mining paired and activated the values.
On 28.1.2022 I wanted to start the Dfi wallet from Windows 10 and had to enter the 24-digit pass phrase again to regenerate the wallet.
After that, I was terrified because everything is gone. No money – no settings nothing. Ask for urgent help.
Best regard M. Eiding DFI-Wallet-Problem-27-01-2022.zip g

Hi Michel, have you ever tried to open the "wallet-bak-1643316956245.dat.1643399956.dat.1643401623.bak" ? I would copy the file to "wallet-restored.dat" and try to open it.. (Hope you have a password set - posting a wallet file in the internet at all is maybe not a good idea)
Hallo RoflWolke7,
vielen Dank für die Hilfe aber es hat leider nicht funktioniert. Es kommt die Meldung "Verbindung mit der Node ist getrennt"
Ich bin verzweifelt und benötige nochmals Ihre Hilfe.
I wonder if there's something wrong (or old) with that file that prevents you from connecting.
Hi @Michel-Eidu , can you try the following:
- If you did not specify where you stored your
wallet.dat
, proceed to backup the entire wallets folder, in the wallets folder you'll likely seewallet-bak-123456789
as well, these are additional wallet backups.
For Windows it's located here:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\DeFi Blockchain\wallets\

-
Update the app to v2.9.1
-
App will prompt you to sync to 100% via snapshot due to Fort Canning Hill upgrade
-
Once synchronized to 100%, try restoring using the various
wallet.dat
you have.
Hi @Michel-Eidu , update v2.13.0 is out, this is a mandatory update. Kindly backup wallet
