Abstract and keywords - better synchronicity required

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Abstracts and keywords are often not the same on the PDF version of the article and as shown within the system. At some point, the author clearly has a chance to update the abstract, which feeds through to the PDF, but it is not the same on the Archive page. This then requires the Managing Editor at the Press to manually update the Archive page for Abstract and Keywords which is time consuming and may also not always be spotted ahead of publication.

Describe the solution you'd like I'd like the PDF and online version of Abstract and keywords to always be the same and there not be two versions. I'm not sure at what stage in the process the author gets to change the abstract/keywords or why they can be different. I'm not sure I have the best solution but perhaps there should be a prompt at a certain stage for the author to finalise these so they are the same and the Managing Editor doesn't need to check/make updates.

Describe alternatives you've considered The only way of fixing this at present is for the Managing Editor to manually re-enter the abstract/keywords into the system according to the details on the PDF, which is assumed to be the final version the author requires.

This may of course be a problem with the way UWP is using the system and would appreciate advice on how to avoid it occuring if so!

Hi - I'm seeing this problem come up quite frequently now that the abstract on the PDF and on the XML do not match. I'm not sure if this is a user error or if there could be a way to prompt authors to finalise/standardise these at some point in the process in order to make things easier for the Press Manager

@philippagrand Reading over this I think the issue will likely be the author changing the abstract and keywords in the manuscript file and the typesetter then using them to create the XML and PDF.

One solution would be to use the abstract and keywords present in the XML over those present in the database, do you think this would work as a solution for this issue?
