From Rich Rabeler (MICH): "I wanted to support the idea of incorporating a collectors index into Symbiota. Jordan Teisher's comment about his experience in the MAM project mirrors mine in use of the SEINet portal for record searches in my florsitics research - the variety of ways in which data, esp. collector names, is entered often makes spotting duplicates difficult. I usually sort by collection number rather than collector for that very reason. As I put in the Chat, tieing that index to either Bionomia or ORCID entries would make it even more powerful. The other advantage that such an index would have is for users importing data back into on-site databases - a reduction in the time required to "clean" that data."
