Unable to load pokemon sav files in melonds

when I try to load a sav file for soulsilver or platinum, it just says that a communication error occurred then freezes.

@Ummok998 This seems to happen with corrupted roms in the Pokemon series: your rom is likely bad. Redump the rom file (doable on a DS & a flashcart, DSi, or 3DS, assuming all legality is followed), and try it again. Piracy is "generally bad", and I am not going to be liable for helping you there.

I tried the rom on desmume and it worked perfectly. I don't think this is a problem with the rom file.

Okay, weird. Replicated with Platinum (rev1). Must be an emulator issue. A workaround for now would be by using savestates. ~~It returns you back to your last saved location, no workaround needed.~~ Or not. Maybe SRAM is not being saved right?
