Spotify shortcut for search current artist

Hi, last days i was playing something new from a Spotify playlist and i wanted to make a search for the current playing artist albumes. I had to start a search and enter the artist name as usual. I think It could be usefull if a shortcut likes "search current artist" in the search panel Is present. And maybe a "search current artist albums". Thanks

That might difficult because Spotify doesn't have that option itself, in the actual app you have to the view album of the artist or the profile of the artist to See more Songs of him/her/them, but you can't search the current artist in that matter.

That would be a great addition! The SpotifyAppController has the ability to add more browse results easily, so this would be doable.

I just saw there also is this very option (go to artist / go to album) as a default option in the spotify app. Maybe I was being to complicated.

I think another entry in the "actions" menu in the side bar will do just as fine.

Out of interest: Would would happen in the UI ? Would that start a "custom" search for the album / artist ?

It would need to be implemented as part of the Browse functionality. The Actions window only supports going back to the main playback screen after clicking an action.
