Same thing here. This looked promising, but the resulting files appear to be corrupted in some sort of way (though they play fine in VLC and Audacity for me).

Are they mp3s? If so if you run mp3val (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ajtcv1mb5o3icve/mp3val?dl=0) on them does it fix the problem?

mp3val -f *.mp3

Well mine were playable mp3s before Tagger touched them.
