wifi drops out from Nvidia Shield when using BiglyBT

Since a couple of weeks I cannot use BiglyBT anymore on my Nvidia Shield pro. When I add torrents to download, they start, but after 2-3 minutes the wifi connection drops out and I have to force restart the wifi in the Shield. Then wifi drops out again after some time, all over again. Only way wifi stops dropping is to uninstall the app from the box. I have been using the app for 3 years nearly and I never seen this behavior before. Surely I tried to reinstall the app, restart the Shield, delete all temp data, etc..
