GW5 Lock screen clicking

Open kinsey6 opened this issue 1 year ago • 8 comments

Worked flawlessly on GW4, but now GW4remap causes a click sound when screen goes off. Samsung Pay installed, and Remap works but with added clicks

I muted all sounds in the hearing enhancements section of accessibility settings. Seems like giving this app accessibility permissions causes this accessibility click. I'm not sure what the impact of turning on "mute all sounds" has on the rest of my watches audio functions though

I also suspect a reboot of the watch could also help get rid of the sound. I turned off the toggle of "mute all sounds" and reported my phone and the click has been gone since. Will keep monitoring it. This is a problem with other apps that use accessibility services too. Could be a bug in OneUI Watch 4 OS.

I tried the Mute All > Reboot > Unmute All > Reboot and it did not stop the clicking.

This issue happened with SPayRemap as well.

edit: After a combination of disabling, renabling, rebooting, messing with sound modes, volumes... the issue has seemed to have gone away and GW4Remap is still working so ¯\(ツ)

second edit: So after I typed the first edited, I'd say about an hour later, the click came back. I didn't change anything! ha

It happens to me as well. I tried this but as you mentioned, it came back

I got a suggestion from the SpaytoGpay guy. Turn your media volume down to halfway and you won't be able to hear the tick but still hear your media.

Hey guys, just wanted to update that I believe the issue no longer happens after updating to the latest WearOS. I have my media volume max volume now and there is no click.

Mine still clicks, though very lightly.
