It would really be great to have more language options because the project could have volunteers that can help, try adding support to more language translations to the project through weblate.org or transifex.com, for example.

@Bardock88, @ildar do you suggest translating the verse/chapter texts directly here with something like weblate.org or transifex.com as mentioned, or looking for translations in other languages?

It seems the former would be simpler, but I am not certain how accurate the translations would be.

For translations in other languages, do you know of any open/public-domain texts that we could use?

Or, were you referring to localizing the app text? (Both would be nice, of course.)

Yes, public translation services fit well for app development. For accurateness I see no problem here as the matter of the discussion is mere Bible contents which is easily checkable. I'd suggest converting assets to res and pull into translation services. Regarding the public domain texts there are many and many. Please take a look at the Sword project for details.

How should one name files to enable for a language translation ? I can do French.

The support for per-app language, or a support for separate text and UI languages would be great too (as of now I have the texts in French but the app in English since my phone is set to en for instance)

LMK if you'd rather have this suggestion regarded as a separate issue :)
