This behavior is certainly annoying, but it's a necessary piece of security to prevent phishing attacks. It's unlikely that we'll ever implement an option to bypass it.
That being said, we could be a bit more flexible and trust links in descriptions for hosts & collectives that have a good reputation. Let's keep this issue open to...

Maybe we should ignore if the filetype is unknown or unsupported. I can eventually do that post-migration if needed.
