GEEQIE VERSION

Geeqie 1.5.1

from Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

SUMMARY

I got a new camera (Pixel 4a) that is able to produce 360 degree spherical images (photosphere). To my surprise, I was not able to locate a feature-request, a plugin or a standard feature of geeqie to view such images properly: "zoomed" in, able to pan around, display with corrected distortion (as good as possible on a flat screen). Other viewers do seem to provide options to do that: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2017/02/panorama-image-viewer-ubuntu-360-photos

With Geeqie being my preferred image viewer for many years, I'd love to have the ability to view photosphere images as well.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Open up spherical images and try to pan around the scene similar to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRMLL311Cho
